Official Rules
1. Eligibility: open to Avon Lake residents age 18 and older; participants must be present for in-person judging on July 3. 2. Beard Requirement: beards must be 100% real; no fake beards, extension, or enhancements of any kind. 3. Measurement & Judging: Beards will be measured from the bottom of the lower lip to the longest tip; no pulling or stretching during measuring; judges will consider length (primary factor), fullness, overall presentation. 4. Contest Rules: Participants must check in prior to judging time; good sportsmanship is expected. 5. Prize: $250 grand prize. 6. Registration: pre-registration required to ensure eligibility. 7. Event Authority: event organizers reserve the right to disqualify participants for rule violations or unsportsmanlike conduct and to make final decisions on measurements and judging.
