About Us

The Avon Lake 250 Jubilee is a community-wide celebration honoring America’s 250th birthday and Avon Lake’s proud place in that story. Presented by the Avon Lake Historical Society, in partnership with the City of Avon Lake, Avon Lake Public Library, Sprenger Health Care Systems, and Shoreline Promotions, this months-long festival will fill our city with family fun, local pride, and nostalgic flair, culminating in a grand fireworks display on Friday, July 3, 2026.

Our Jubilee is made up of local residents, churches, schools, and organizations working together to plan concerts, contests, heritage events, and classic summertime festivities.

The 250 Jubilee operates under the a 501(c)(3) nonprofit umbrella of Avon Lake Historical Society and is an official partner in both Ohio’s 250 Celebration and the America 250 national commemoration. All sponsorships, donations, and proceeds directly support the Jubilee.

Together, we’re creating a once-in-a-lifetime hometown festival that celebrates our past, enriches our present, and inspires the generations to come.
